Sutton’s show stopping sculpture!

Peacocks are know to turn heads.  Senior Talia Sutton’s beautiful peacock sculpture is no exception!  The beautiful bird is crafted from wire, clay, and paper mache made from old books and newspaper. Talia said she used Mr. Bast’s entire supply of news paper and about 3 blocks of clay.  The head was made with mica powder for the eyes and a makeup box for the crown of feathers. The body was then painted with acrylics and water color. The sculpture was created in Mr. Bast’s Sculpture 2 class and took nearly the entire trimester to complete.

All Talia’s hard work certainly paid off! The sculpture is absolutely stunning and captures the majesty of a peacock perfectly!
